一.作及物动词
1. 在...之后仍然生存,从...中逃生
Only two passengers survived the air-crash.
这次飞机失事只有两名乘客幸免于死。
She was the only girl to survive the accident.

2. 比...活得长;丧失(配偶,亲人等)

注：survive 本身已表示“幸存，幸免于”，因而其后不能再加多余的in或from（正如enter the
